Shia Saide LaBeouf was born in June 11, 1986, in Los Angeles, California, to Jeffrey LaBeouf and Shayna Saide. He is the only child on his family. His parents now are divorced, and he lives with his mom in Los Angeles. His first name rhymes with "hiya". Graduated high school in 2003, and in this year fall he is planning on going to college, preferably Yale University.

Shia likes to play drums. His favorite movies are Dumb & Dumber (1994) and Saving Silverman (2001). His favorite music are System of a Down, 50 Cent, Eminem, D12, Led Zeppelin, Jack Johnson, Ben Folds, and others. His musical experience was a performance alongside hip-hop MC G-Money at the Viper Room on January 2005.

He also has started a hip-hop group/record label (Element) and a film production company with his fellow actor and best friend Lorenzo Eduardo.

He started his career by doing stand-up comedy around places in his neighborhood, such as coffee clubs. One day, he saw a friend of his acting on "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman" TV series (1993), and he wanted to become an actor too someday.

Shia and his mom talked it over, and the next day he started looking for an agent. He searched in the yellow pages, called one up, and did a stand-up routine in front of him.

They liked him and signed him, and then he started auditioning.

He’s well known for playing Louis Stevens in the popular Disney Channel series "Even Stevens" (2000) and has won a Daytime Emmy for his performance. In 2006 he was considered for the role of Jimmy Olsen in Superman Returns.

Shia’s named after his grandfather’s who is also a comedian. In his spare time, Shia enjoys making independent short films with his friends. He attends the prestigious Hamilton Academy of Music in Los Angeles, California, along with the other actors such as Emile Hirsch, Will Rothhaar, Candace Lifson, Kyla Pratt, Kaitlin Doubleday, Zoma Crum, and Cherish Lee.

His role in Transformers movie as a high-school student Sam Witwicky who buys his first car, who is actually the Autobot Bumblebee. Bumblebee defends Sam and his girlfriend Mikaela Banes (Megan Fox) from the Decepticon Barricade, before the other Autobots arrive on Earth.

After his role in Transformers, Shia has a second father and mentor in Jon Voight.
